Join us at 5:30 pm for a hospitality social followed by a bit of history beginning at 6:00 pm. Jefferson “Jeff” Mansell currently serves as the Lead Historian for the Natchez National Historical Park, a unit of the National Park Service in Natchez, Mississippi. Jeff will share with us “Records of Resilience,” stories gleaned from the pension records of the veterans of the U. S. Colored Troops. These moving, heart-wrenching stories will form the basis of the Park Service’s interpretation at the Forks of the Road.
