The Quitman Lounge is located in the wing of Monmouth Historic Inn. This wing was added in the early 1850s with 2 rooms upstairs and 2 rooms downstairs. These rooms were originally added for additional bedrooms and sitting rooms. Today, guests gather in the downstairs rooms for drinks and hors d’oeuvres where General John R. Quitman once had his study.
