Natchez State Park, located just a few miles North of Natchez, offers some of the best large and small-mouth bass fishing in the South. The State of Mississippi’s record large-mouth bass was caught at the Natchez State Park, weighing a massive 18.15, pounds on December 31, 1992. The lake is well stocked with catfish, bream, and Florida largemouth bass. The park became a hot spot for bass fishermen when the Mississippi record large-mouth was caught in the lake. A Mississippi fishing license is required for all persons between the ages of 16 and 65. A launch is available for persons bringing their own boats.
