The Most Natchez Thing You Will Ever Experience

Southern Exposure is the legendary comedy satire that pokes loving fun at Natchez, its grand old houses, the annual house tours, and the colorful characters who inhabit them. It is, in short, the play that Natchez tells on itself. And we think that is beautiful. And hilarious. Mostly hilarious.

This uproarious production tells the story of a gracious Southern lady desperately trying to hold on to her beloved ancestral estate, Mayweather Hall, while her scheming cousins circle like well-bred vultures with monogrammed handkerchiefs. Expect high drama, pointed humor, suspicious casseroles, and enough wit to shake loose the plaster in the parlor.

If you love historic homes, society gossip, the idea of “saving the house,” or simply enjoy seeing genteel chaos unfold in a very polite manner, this is your show. It is as funny for locals as it is for visitors.
