Selected by Rand McNally as a MUST SEE SITE, the Delta Music presentation is performed several times weekly at Frogmore Plantation.
Featuring rhythm and song with one or two vocalists who blend African cultural songs with hymns learned in America, guests listen to the mistress to learn history like never before, as she intertwines narration with the songs. The group is seated in a rare 1800’s plantation church with original handmade pews.
Visitors interactively continue the musical history learning the “double voicing” lyrics used on plantations for communication. Guests who love rhythm may grab a tambourine. Highly educational, yet fun! Call 318-757-2453 for reservations.
