The Museum of African-American History and Culture, also known as NAPAC, can be found right on Main Street in the downtown. You can stay busy here for hours learning about the influence local and nationally known African-Americans have had on not only Natchez, but the entire world.
You can start your journey here by reading the Natchez Burning Blues Trail Marker right outside the doors! Housed in the museum are many different exhibits, displays, artwork, books and more that teach you about the lives of African-Americans during the Civil War, Civil Rights era and beyond.
Natchez was not only home to Richard Wright, but also many other influential African-Americans throughout history. The museum is free and open to the public, with donations welcome.
